Ripple Labs (XRP) announces acquisition of stablecoin platform Rail for approximately $200 million. Over the past few months, Ripple has invested heavily in stablecoin infrastructure, even launching its own RLUSD stablecoin. Ripple Labs stated that the acquisition of Rail is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year, pending regulatory approval, and will allow Ripple and Rail to offer "the most comprehensive stablecoin payment solutions in the market."
